The award-winning Will Read and Sing For Food benefit show will perform a public benefit show in Tell City, Saturday, September 1, at 7:30 p.m. (Central), at the Hoosier Heights Country Club, to benefit United Way of Perry County. WRASFF, which has raised $147,000 for dozens of charities in Southern Indiana since 2011, is ending its eight-season run this year. The show is a mix of live music and humor essays. The Sept. 1 show will feature musicians Haleigh Martin, who performed in February’s benefit at the Country Club, and Kenna Elpers, who graced the stage at EUCC to benefit Catholic Charities this spring. Bryan and Jaime Bolin, along with humor writers Scott Saalman and Joyce Stath will round out the cast for the evening. Admission is a $10 donation to United Way of Perry County at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m. with free appetizers and a cash bar. Performances begin at 7:30. The general public is invited to attend.
