Job Title:             Public Relations/Marketing Specialist

SUMMARY

The Public Relations/Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing, facilitating, and implementing communication programs and activities aligned with the strategic objectives for the Mulzer Family of Companies. The individual is responsible for designing, developing, and producing communication tools for internal and external audiences and will drive strategies related to internal and external communications including community relations, university relations, customer relations, crisis management, media, special events, and others. The individual will also support digital, marketing, and special project needs including video for the internal and external activities of the company.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Duties and Functions)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supports the Company with all requested digital, marketing, and other deliverables to support all business lines or areas (corporate functions, geographies, etc.). This includes but is not limited to artwork and design, slides, banners, infographics, photos, videos, images, editing, creative writing
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and departments on providing necessary communication support for identified projects; including but not limited to conceptualize, write, edit, and produce customized communication plan and marketing materials
  • Assist in the creation of promotional materials for recruiting and marketing initiatives.
  • Manages community programs and campaigns
  • Manage sponsorship and donation requests
  • Manage external vendors to complete projects and / or maintain current programs.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and make recommendations for adjustments to communications strategies and practices.
  • Write copy for various external and internal communications
  • Work with line of business leaders to obtain coverage of company projects
  • Ensures planning and execution of internal communications for the lines of business, including but not limited to organizational changes (incl. organizational notices, change management, etc.)
  • Partners with leaders and HR on promotions, recruiting, marketing and new employee communications content
  • Works with corporate marketing liaison to ensure compliance of all logo/brand applications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree with course work in communications, marketing, public relations or related field.
  • Three plus year of relevant experience required.
