As a Cook, you’ll be responsible for preparing meals in accordance with daily menus and dietary requirements, ensuring quality, taste, and presentation. You will work closely with the dietary team to support food preparation, assist with meal service, and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. This role is a great fit for someone with a passion for food, strong time management, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to the daily census and cycle menu recipes, including modified and therapeutic diets

• Assist in food preparation for special events and ala carte requests

• Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and labeling of food

• Deliver meals and assist with service to residents and staff

• Maintain food stock and follow proper rotation and inventory procedures

• Ensure all kitchen and food service areas are clean and comply with health code standards

• Follow company and regulatory guidelines for food safety, sanitation, and documentation

• Assist in training new kitchen or dietary staff

• Utilize menu software programs for planning and reporting

Qualifications

We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Ability to operate food service equipment safely and efficiently

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and special diet requirements

• Prior food service or industry experience preferred

• Knowledge of food safety, handling, and sanitation standards
