As a Floating Assistant Teacher at Perry Preschool & Child Care, you’ll work closely with Lead Teachers to ensure smooth daily operations across classrooms. You will provide coverage during staff breaks, lunches, and planning time, and engage directly with children to support their learning and play throughout the day. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, flexible, and passionate about early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teachers in implementing classroom activities and daily routines

• Provide classroom coverage during teacher breaks and planning time

• Support a nurturing and educational environment for children

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times

• Maintain a clean and organized classroom space

• Communicate positively with children, staff, and parents

• Contribute to a team-focused atmosphere across all classrooms

Qualifications

We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• High school diploma or high school equivalency required

• CDA or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred (eligible for higher pay rate)

• Passionate about working with children

• Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented

• Previous experience in a childcare setting is a plus
