As a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health, you’ll be on the front lines of health care. You’ll help ensure prescription accuracy and excellent patient service, while supporting your pharmacy team in a fast-paced environment. You’ll contribute to a safe, compliant, and efficient operation—all while building meaningful connections with patients. Key Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacy staff in prescription preparation, fulfillment, and delivery

• Greet customers and support them with drop-off, pick-up, and drive-thru services

• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements

• Accurately input data, manage inventory, and process insurance claims

• Perform administrative tasks like inventory counts, returns-to-stock, and waiting bin checks

• Educate patients on available health services like immunizations and testing (where allowed)

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment

• Participate in training and development opportunities to expand your clinical and technical skills

• Travel to nearby CVS locations as needed to meet business demands

Qualifications

We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• High school diploma or equivalent (or currently enrolled in a GED program)

• Minimum age 16, if state regulations allow

• Must meet state-level Pharmacy Technician licensing/certification requirements

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and remain standing for extended periods

• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills

• Proficient in basic math and problem-solving

• Willingness to complete CVS’s training program and any state-mandated education

• Preferred: 1–3 years of experience as a pharmacy tech or in customer service/retail
