As a Purchasing Agent/Driver at Mulzer Crushed Stone, you will play a vital role in inventory control, vendor communication, and materials tracking. Your primary duties will include issuing parts to employees, managing inventory systems, entering fuel data, and performing warehouse housekeeping—all while maintaining safety and compliance standards. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchase, store, and issue spare parts for mobile or industrial equipment.

• Contact vendors and issue purchase orders for parts and services.

• Compare invoices against requisitions to verify quality and quantity.

• Maintain organized and accurate inventory systems.

• Store parts and supplies and issue them to employees as requested.

• Requisition parts from the central parts department.

• Enter fuel ticket data and coordinate fuel orders.

• Perform basic housekeeping tasks in warehouse areas.

• Operate forklifts and other necessary equipment.

Qualifications

We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a technical school preferred; or 1+ year of related experience and/or training.

• Proficient computer skills (formal training or practical experience required).

• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, staff, and service providers.

• Must be self-motivated, flexible, and eager to learn.

• Forklift experience or willingness to be trained.

• Able to perform basic math and reasoning tasks.

• Must pass physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted and working in varied environments.

• Ability to wear all required PPE (steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, etc.).
