Education in Perry County
There are three school systems in the county, each offering classes K–12.
Tell City-Troy Township School Corporation features preschool through 6th grade at William Tell Elementary school. The Tell City Junior-Senior High School features three fully developed college-bound lanes and eight vocational tracts in addition to the normal education process.
The Perry Central Community School Corporation, serving rural Perry County, incorporates preschool through 12th grade under the same roof. Perry Central Jr./Sr. High School offers over 35 dual credit courses, including the Statewide Transfer General Education Core along with 9 state recognized career pathways.
The Cannelton City Schools includes pre-k and kindergarten at the William Bennett Early Learning Center, grades 1-5 at Myers Elementary, and combines grades 6-12 at the Junior-Senior High.
Perry County features an Ivy Tech Community College in Tell City, and is within commuting distance of the University of Evansville, University of Southern Indiana, Indiana Business College, I.U. Southeast, Oakland City University, Vincennes University – Jasper Campus, Kentucky Wesleyan, Owensboro Business College, Brescia College and U of K Community College.
